American Mah Jongg is a four-player tile game based on matching a 14 tile hand to specific combinations listed on an annually updated card published by the National Mah Jongg League. The game uses 152 tiles, including jokers and flowers, tile racks, and "Charleston"phases.
Experienced players are welcome to join and participate. Beginners are invited and instructed in small groups and then transitioned into the regular playing groups. All players (except Beginners) are required to have their own playing card. Players should also bring their own Mah Jongg set if they have one.
The group meets on the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the lounge at the Wood County Senior Center.
